I come from a family of writers and teachers but grew up heavily involved in the performing arts. As film and theatre have been such a major part of my development, I hope to cultivate stories in these spaces. Although I am one to write what I know, I love to explore different perspectives and learn more about the human condition through writing about the “unfamiliar”. Authors who inspire my writing include: Toni Morrison, James Baldwin, Enda Walsh, Shirley Jackson, and Sayaka Murata.
